Post-Wedding Posts: What Would You Like to See?

Hi blog friends!

I was sitting around thinking this morning (crazy, I know!) about how I never really shared the things I did for my wedding that were really fun to work on. Some things I think were worth the time and effort and some not...

My question for you is if posts like this would be interesting to you or not. I certainly don't want to detail the vendors/ideas/projects that I worked on if that is not of interest to you. After all, this isn't a wedding blog! On the right sidebar of the blog, you'll see a one-question survey to let me know what your Dimestore Diamond wedding post preferences are :)

Thanks for your feedback- let's keep on being internet friends, mmmk?

Bold & Bright

Necklace: F21
Shirt: Old Navy
Dress: Anthropologie
Tights: HUE
Shoes: Old Navy

Just a fancy little outfit that I did not wear today- it's Saturday after all and when I have the day off, this is not the sort of outfit that I would partake in. I wore this to work earlier in the week.

I wasn't sure if it would be too much to wear this many jewel tones at once! But I think it went well- or at least no one made fun of me to my face (which in my mind is the mark of a successful outfit). They aren't always deemed successful- I once had someone tell me I looked like an indian princess in what I was wearing. BUT one woman's insult is another woman's compliment, thank you very much.

Sunday Kind of Love

Sweatshirt: Target
Tee: J.Crew
Vest: Swapped from Emma
Pants: Gap
Shoes: Toms, Gift

I didn't really intend to take outfit pics today when I got off from work, but the weather here was so wonderful today. I was super jealous that others got to spend the day outside! I wanted to have my fun too, so Brett and I went on a leisurely walk around our neighborhood late this afternoon.

And can we talk for a second about this vest of Emma's that I got at a swap?! Brett told me that he really likes it on me. And not to be outdone, here was Brett on our walk. Can you say vesties!?!? Vest Friends Forever!!!

With a Twist

Shirt: Gap
Vest: Swapped
Pants: UO
Clutch: F21
Shoes: F21

The base elements of this outfit are actually pretty mundane, (business) casual and not very original. I mean, who wears a button down shirt and sweater vest on their day off?!

The obvious answer (that was a rhetorical question) is that I do. But! I tried to add a twist with some fun accessories. Add a clutch with a pop of color (POC for the Brad Goreski lovers out there) and some funky clogs and you've got a deal.

Some days you have to dress like you're in a St. John's Bay ad and go from there...

Love-ly Day

Blouse: Thrifted via Goodwill
Dress: Gift from Brett
Belt: From this dress
Clutch: Gift
Tights: J.Crew
Shoes: F21

I know these photos are a little dark but just shortly before they were taken, I got this dress as a Valentine's Day gift from Brett. I couldn't pass up an opportunity to show my new lovely dress! I was so excited and it fits like a glove. He did good :)

Speaking of Valentine's Day, I know some people balk at the holiday. I embrace it though! Many people maintain that we should show love year round and not just on V-Day. I agree! But there's no harm in making others feel extra special. I love the day! Brett got me flowers and then the vintage dress I'm wearing above (and candy, always gotta have candy). I got Brett a new book, a vintage tie, shirt and vest. We then went to get drinks at a favorite bar, have sushi dinner and top the night off on the couch with some salted caramel cupcakes.

It's strange because last year, Brett and I both got each other prints. This year, we both got each other vintage clothes. Great minds (in love) think alike?!

Hope you all felt super loved this Valentine's Day!

Fruits & Veggies

Scarf: "Borrowed" from my mom
Top: Anthropologie
Cords: Gap
Mocs: Minnetonka via Macy's
Bag: Anthropologie

It makes sense to take blog photos in front of a fruits and veggies mural right? Maybe if I pose in front of it, it will add some nutrition to my diet and make up for the fact that I had buffalo wings for dinner for not the first time this week (eeps!).

How's everyone's week going? Is it just me or does it feel like it's lasted forever? We're almost there friends!

La Paix Est Tout

Sweater: ModCloth
Tee: J.Crew
Skirt: J.Crew Outlet
Tights: J.Crew
Socks: J.Crew
Shoes: Breeze Wedge c/o Wanted Shoes

Man, I actually forgot these photos existed! I found them on the camera today when I was going to take blog pictures. Time flies...when you're working hard?!

Let me tell you that promptly after these photos were taken, I went inside of said building and ate a stellar sandwich and fries. Let's just say the sandwich had turkey, barbecue sauce, grilled onions, swiss cheese, etc. I was not disappointed. But then again, I think it takes a lot for a sandwich to sincerely disappoint me. I never met one I didn't like.

Oh yeah, and someone told me that my new shirt says "Peace is Everything" in French. Neat, huh?

A Dress for Success

Shirt: F21
Dress: Anthropologie
Tights: J.Crew, Gift
Shoes: DKNY via Opitz Outlet

What a strange day I've had! I had today off from work hoping to have a relaxing time with Brett. Brett's car window got broken into, we heard gunshots, our dog broke the fence and got out, etc, etc. So strange and not at all what I expected for today!

With all that said, I put on this new dress with hopes that I can overcome the weird things today brought and have a fun night tonight before I head back to work tomorrow. When life hands you lemons, put on a fun dress and look good with those lemons, girl!

Easy Peasy

Shirt: Anthropologie
Jeans: Anthropologie
Necklace: J.Crew
Shoes: Ritzy Loafer c/o Wanted Shoes

I have today off so I wear pajamas or their socially acceptable equivalent. Both my top and jeans are new and I have the patience of a three year old when it comes to new things. I never wait more than a day to wear anything new!

Otherwise, if this outfit was math, it would be elementary addition. It's so easy and makes so much sense that it should be taught to all children! Jeans + knit top + statement necklace= outfit! Go us!
