Cute as a Button
Sweater: Consignment Store
Tank: H&M
Jeans: Gap
Shoes (Not Shown): Target
Bag: Anthropologie
Bracelet: Gift
Here's a little story of how I turned gifts for others into gifts for myself.
I went to the post office to mail off some gifts: birthday ones, Father's Day ones, wedding ones, etc. The great part is that the post office is right next to a great little consignment store. I went for a little pop-in and picked up this great button print cardigan as well as another printed cardigan. Oops!
Thanks to my family and friends for the occasions that allowed me to get this cardigan. Much appreciated.
P.S. Sorry for the scowl on my face above- forgot my sunglasses!

A Short Story
Hat: Anthropologie
Jacket: Anthropologie
Tee: Target
Shorts: Gap Outlet
Sandals: Sole Sandal c/o Wanted Shoes
A few things to note about this outfit:
- I was having a horrible hair day, hence the hat. Hence why you never see my hair. I miss my long hair :(
- I hate shorts with all my heart. However, these shorts cost $10 and have a micro-heart pattern, so I hated them slightly less. Meaning, they are my favorite shorts in existence. Also, is micro-heart a thing?
I guess it's more like a couple things to note about the outfit and not a few because I can only think of 2 and not 3 things.

New and Old
Jacket: Anthropologie
Dress: Anthropologie
Shoes: Restricted via DSW
Ring: Gift from Brett
This outfit is a combination of new and old things. I bought this dress last year for a wedding shower but the jacket is brand spanking new. I'll be honest- I don't think I've taken it off for a few days straight. Other than sleep... I do take the jacket off for sleeping.
It's like I'm playing my own version of "guess who will notice that I wear the same clothes". I think I'm winning!

Cheater Post
I'm going to post what I consider a "cheater post" meaning that I am going to consolidate all my Instagram and personal pics to hope that you forget that it has nothing to do with my personal style blog :)
So without further ago, my distraction tactics...
Maria primping for the Roaring 20s party
My Roaring 20s head shot
Packing for Colorado!
New shoes (bought them in nude too :)
I was able to steal away for a few days to see my parents in Colorado (I hadn't seen them since my wedding!). Here's some of the fun we had:
Surprise tickets to see Wicked!
Hiked with my mom in Roxborough State Park
Texts from my little brother :)
Yves Saint Laurent Retrospective
Rockies Game fun with my family
Matching watches with my friend Greg
My mom at Wicked
My mom's art exhibit
Dinner on the porch
A new dress
Hope that diversion worked! Enjoy your week everyone!

Lucky Strike
Dress: Tucker
Bag: Thrifted
Bracelets: Patina, F21 and Love Culture
Shoes: UO
I usually consign all my unwanted clothes at a shop in town. Normally, as I'm making a drop off or picking up a check, I'll take a spin around the store just to see if there's anything worth snagging. Usually the answer is hell to the no.
However, today was different. I peeked this Tucker dress and it was $15. It's real Tucker, not just Tucker for Target (like my other options). It's like I had a lucky strike! Boom! And I was able to use my credit so it actually felt like I got paid to shop (twisted logic for ya).
And let's get this out in the open, I know that I am wearing the same color as the bricks. What are yagonnado?

Birthday Celebrations!
I had such a fun birthday and had so many friends and family members that made it feel so special. In case, you haven't learned already, birthdays, presents and surprises are...kind of a big deal to me. No one made me feel more special than Brett.
I had so much fun, I thought I would give you a little peak at all the things we did.
It started last Saturday morning when Brett woke me up and let me know that from that moment until Tuesday evening on my birthday, I would get 26 little notes/surprises (now you know how old I turned).
He proceeded to head to breakfast at Sun Street Breads. It was so delicious! Nothing makes me feel so awesome like a few sourdough pancakes. A little known secret.
Right after, we headed to the Como Zoo and Conservatory. Nothing like walking off pancakes by viewing a little flora and fauna.
We rested for a bit and Brett made me a wonderful dinner.
And then to top of our awesome day, Brett set up a little surprise happy hour with friends at the Marvel Bar.
Sunday was just as fun. We went to church, got pizza (a Sunday tradition), took a walk around the lake and had some ice cream too.
Tuesday was my actual birthday which meant more good food and nice gifts. My best friend Emily got me a Kindle! I already read one whole book on it :)
Brett got me a topaz 1920s ring. It was such a fun surprise and was so thoughtful. He liked my birthday so he put a ring on it?
It was so fun- thanks to everyone who made me feel so loved and appreciated.
You can also follow along with my Instagram pics if you like (username: magmknight) or with Brett too (username: brett_knight). I know, so original.

Pardon the Interruption
Shirt: J.Crew
Dress: Self Made
Tights: J.Crew
Boots: Fossil
Remember that time that I ignored by blog for a long, long time? Me too, that just happened so it's fresh in my memory.
I've been busy, but all with fun stuff. I had a birthday, celebrated friends' graduations and birthdays and then I also got a promotion! Wee!
It's been busy round here (and will probably be more so now) but I'm trying to get some consistent posts up here on this here blog- so sorry that it's been vacant as of late.
See you soon, internet friends!
